What are the qualities a good tutor should have or what must a tutor do to be a good tutor??
1)Patience.
This is very important.A person who is impatient and easily angry cannot be a good tutor.A good tutor must be able to explain to the student again and again without feeling irritated or impatient until the student can understand the concepts or examples clearly.
A patient tutor will not feel angry even if the student did not get it the first time he explains the concept
2)Good clear explainations .
A good tutor must be able to explain the concept or example so clearly that the student will feel that it's actually so easy.If the tutor can give good clear explainations,it will also enable the student to gain in depth knowledge of the concept,as well as knowing how to apply what he learnt in various different questions and situations.
For example when teaching about electromagnetism,the tutor should not just teach the basic concepts but should also go deep into the topic and explain the applications of electromagnets in
electric motors,loud speakers,ammeters,magnetic cranes,telephone mouth piece and ear piece
and explain how each equipment works in details using the principles of electromagnetism.
3)Go through many examples
The tutor should also go through many examples especially the more challenging ones.
The tutor should first start with the routine average questions and once the student gets it,the tutor should then progress to more and more difficult questions.
It's just like the situation of a weight lifter who starts lifting light weights and as he gets used to the weights,then he progresses to heavier weights.

4)Test the student
